Friends Park Community Input

We're excited to share that planning for the new Friends Park is moving forward, and we want to hear from you!
Back in May, many of you joined us at our first community input meeting to share your ideas for the park. Thank you to everyone who participated!
Using that valuable feedback, our design team developed several concept options and presented them to the Board of Commissioners at their July 7 meeting. Each concept includes different combinations of play equipment, seating, shade structures, game areas, a pollinator garden, and picnic shelters.
Some of the features shown in the concepts represent enhancements that may be included as part of the final project, depending on future funding opportunities and Board direction. We've identified these enhancements within each concept so you can consider the complete vision for the park as you share your preferences.
Now it's your opportunity to help shape the final design! Join us for our next community input meeting on Wednesday, July 15 from 3 to 5 PM to review the concepts, vote for your favorites, and provide any additional comments or feedback.
This is a drop-in event, so feel free to stop by any time during those hours to view the design concepts and share your thoughts. All ages are welcome, and we encourage everyone to participate.
Shortly after the meeting, a survey will be released online so those unable to attend can also share their preferences and feedback before the Board reviews the results and selects a preferred concept. Sign up here if you would like us to send you the survey and updates as the project progresses.
