Join us for the final weekend of beach season! Lifeguards will be on duty Labor Day weekend, including Monday, September 7, weather permitting. After Labor Day, Glencoe Beach will be closed to all visitors for a major renovation.
As we head into a new school year, we wanted to share more about the collaborative safety efforts happening behind the scenes to protect the people and places we all care about.
The Glencoe Park District is updating its Transition Plan for existing parks and facilities, as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Towards that end, the District invites people with disabilities and their family members to share their preferences and priorities regarding accessibility. A meeting will occur on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 5:00-6:30 pm at the Takiff Center, 999 Green Bay Rd., Glencoe, IL 60022.
The Takiff Center will be closed to the public August 10-14 for annual maintenance and improvement projects
